About Us

Minnesota native Mel Aho began building houses in 1977 and founded Aho Construction 10 years later in Vancouver, Washington. After building numerous neighborhoods in southwest Washington, we gradually expanded to communities across the state and in 2004 established subsidiary Aho Northwest in Minnesota and South Dakota. To date, our company has sold more than 9,000 new homes.

Aho Northwest's highly skilled employees and select subcontractors bring Mel's innovative techniques that streamlined building process to Minnesota and South Dakota. 2004	Third branch office opens in Moxee, Washington. Aho Northwest, LLC formed in Minnesota.
2004	Fourth branch office opens in Cheney, Washington
2005	Fifth branch office opens in Sunnyside, Washington. Sixth branch office opens in Moses Lake, Washington.
2007	Aho Northwest, LLC opens office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Seventh branch office opens in Quincy, Washington.
2009	Eighth branch office opens in Salem, Oregon.
